I didn't want to do it this way, but this system has been attacked by forum spammers 4 times in the last 2 months. This not only pollutes our Forum but it also diminishes new postings and causes me many hours of maintenance. I don't know about you, but I just don't think that information about online gambling, prescription drugs and gay sex are worth all this effort to keep the site as a free public access forum. After Sunday morning's spam attack (and about 4 hours of clean-up and reconfiguration) I decided that the only way to absolutely prevent this from occurring again was to require pre-registration in order to post messages. Just follow the instructions at the top of the main Topics page and we will see how this all works. Once I send you a system-generated password and you have registered access, you can edit your own account information and change your password to something you will remember. Just be sure not to share your registration info with anyone! Thanks, Steve |
