I recently sent one of my RD-50 chassis to Ed to modify. I have played a few rehearsals and a loud 6 nighter in a local blues bar and I am very pleased! The amp is a 112 (with EVM12L)and it sounds huge ! The solidity and girth of the low end are truly jaw dropping. The limiter channel(mid shift in my case) Is what I was looking for when I bought Boogies in the late 70's and early 80's It just electrifies the air. Ed was aware that I am strictly a single coil player and the amp responds so well to my axes. I tried a humbucker and was most impressed also. Ed is a strait shooter who will find out what you are wanting from the amp and he will deliver ! I am pickin' and REALLY grinnin' !!!

Ed is the best ,he knows whats great about a musicman amp and how to fix what might not be so great .This site and musicman amp repair would suffer without him.

Thanks guys for your nice words, I really appreciate it! These are trully sweet little amps when setup well. I like the old ones as well as the later models. The HD-65, 130, HD-150, RD-50 etc. Maybe if there's enough interest, I could build some RD-50 based amps with my mods incorporated? Thanks, Ed |
