Hi! A few years ago I bought a 150 watt MM head called "115HD One-fifty". Recently, I realized that was not originally a head... Obviously, it was a 1 x 15 combo converted to head. Now I want to build an original copy of the combo cabinet, and put an EVM 15L speaker on it. I need some information about the size for building it.
This is my head:

And this is the only pic of a 115 combo that i could found

I happen to have a 1x15 MusicMan combo cab here from an HD130 reverb.

The sides - 9 1/4" wide at the top (same as my HD 65 reverb head)
10 3/4" wide at the bottom
20 1/2" high

The baffle - 17" tall and the width of the cabinet (which would be the same as the head cab your's is in now)
The baffle is made of 1/2" ply w/ 1/4" strips attached arount the perimeter of the front (and a couple more 1/4" blocks to screw the badges to) for an effective thickness of 3/4".
It's set back in the cab about 1/4" at the bottom and 1/2" at the top.

The back is two panels. The one at the top is pretty similar looking to the one on my head - about 1/2" thick, except that it's a 7" panel, and the "V" cutout at the top is 2 3/4" deep as opposed to 2" on the head cab. However, if your head was originally a combo it might be different from my head.
The bottom back panel is 6".

If you've got any other questions just ask. I can measure and/or describe whatever you need.

Hope it helps and good luck,
Dan

Oh, and these things sound great through the EVM speakers. I took the 15" out of this cab and built the ported cab that EV spec'd for this speaker; you can download plans off the net. It's supposed to be a bass cab, but sounds so good with my HD65 head and a tele!

Maybe, if you want a head and cab set-up, this could work? It's got tons of bottom end definition, and I like the speaker in the EV spec cab better than the MM combo. And as a bonus, w/ a few EQ tweaks you've got a killer bass rig as well. Just a thought.

Hello Dan! Thank you very much for the information. I preparing the wood to build the combo. I
some doubts about the way you've taken the
measures. See the picture to see what I mean.

Hey Fermin,
I measured the cab as in the first example you drew - that is, from the outside edges of the roundover, not the inside.

Best of luck to you, and feel free to keep asking.

Ps. These things as a 1x15 combo with the evm speaker weigh a TON. I recommend the casters on the bottom and a back brace

I'm back! after a long time, I get the grill cloth (difficult to find in my country)
to finish assembling the combo.
