Have been looking at these online: http://tinyurl.com/62vnytu Kind of like the Yellowjackets less than half the price. I'm really tempted to try a pair but there is this warning: "DO NOT USE the TONE BONE? for amps with cathode controled power amps (e.g. Musicman RD series, Peavey Classic 75/100 etc.)" Will I be OK using them with my 210 sixty-five? I assume I'll still have to use it on low power setting only.

Hi Jeff, if your Sixty-Five has the 12AX7/ECC83 driver tube, it is not a cathode driven amp. If, on the other hand, it does not have the driver tube, you have the later cathode driven amp. Please note: I am not telling you whether it is safe to use the Tone Bone or not, just how to determine which type your Music Man amp may be. Personally, I would think that a tube driver sixty-five amp distorts just fine on the low setting by itself. Cheers, Lars Verholt

Also these things cut your wattage way down,so your sixty five watt amp, becomes the biggest 10 watt practice amp ever . |
